The Directworks Secure Collaboration Format (SCF) Viewer is the only piece of software that is needed to be able to create and manage projects (as a project administrator, team member, or supplier) as well as respond to and participate in projects. The viewer will convert over 1,500 file formats and compress file size up to 99%.
Note: The Directworks viewer is currently only tested as compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 6, 7, 8, 9,and 10. Attempting to use the viewer with other versions of IE or other browser software such as Firefox may result in errors. Follow the steps below to install.
Installing the viewer
Step 1: Enter the website provided by Directworks into your web browser.
Step 2: When the page loads for the first time, a pop-up window will appear, asking you to download the Directworks Viewer. Click OK on this window.
Step 3: The file download message appears. Click Save and the file will begin downloading.
Step 4: When the file download is completed, you will be asked if you want to run the software. Click Run. You will need to close the browser window in order for the installation to successfully complete.
Step 5: The Install Shield Wizard will load, and you can now install the viewer. Select Next.
Step 6: The next screen will ask you to agree to a License Agreement. Select agree to the terms of the agreement and select Next.
Step 7: Finally, Select Install to begin Installation
NOTE: During the installation process it is recommended that you close all other open applications so that the installation process can properly complete. If you have other applications open, you may see a window such as the one below indicating that you must close the indicated applications in order to complete the installation. If this occurs, simply close those applications and then click the retry button in order to complete the viewer installation.
